Photo of yourself as a kid.
We all know that just one would not be fun, and to spice it up even more, captions are included.
This is my mom's all time favorite. It was taken at Tannehill when I was about two or three.
I love this one. You can't see me due to my tiny-ness, but I love the way my Mom looks holding me. It's really neat to see how she interacted with me because I was too little to know at the time.
Me and my Dad were a match made in Heaven from the start. We both wiped each other out.
I'm going all out with this one. Here is the standard naked bath tub photo. Wish my hair would have stayed this color.
My number 1: my Meme and I. I lost my Meme in 2007, and miss her like crazy. This photo shows how she treated me from birth. Even in my twenties she hugged and kissed all over me just like I was a baby. She was a mother of two boys and I was the only girl grandkid. Spoiled is an understatement.
Speaking of spoiled, this is what happens when you are. I'm sure because my grandparents thought I was a little princess, that I talked them into dressing myself on this annual vacation. Hey, at least I accessorized with my Orange Keds.
Preschool Graduation day. The only day I appeared to be happy about school.
A mark in history as far as my life goes. My first day playing softball at age 3 1/2. Softball was my one love I hung on to, and it put me through college. Softball gave me a great 17 years and I miss it a lot.
The last go around. Finishing out my sport at JSCC.
Oh Olan Mills, you were so good to me. I was not thrilled with the whole photography concept this day and apparently knocked that stuffed bunny down in a fit of rage.
Circa '87. Note the sweater vest.
And now, for 7 facts about me from my childhood.
1. Me and my brother were brutal enemies. He once threw a tool at me and it cost me 9 stitches in the old' noodle.
2. In the fourth grade I was in a violent go cart wreck (with Enemy #1) and was slung (or should I say barrel-rolled) into the woods. It was also the day before school pictures. As if being covered in scabs from head to toe was not enough, my mother dressed me in a floor length denim dress and feathered my bangs. True story. I'm in the yearbook. Look me up.
3. In middle school I used to take my boombox outside and make my grandparents sit on their porch while I rollerbladed routines to the Backstreet Boys. I know.
4. My mom's favorite embarrassing tale: At age four, I got out of bed hysterically crying and told my parents that sometimes I felt like I didn't know who I was. A little too early to be establishing one's purpose in life, don't you think?
5. I played softball for 17 years of my life. My claim to fame? My freshmen year of college I hit three back to back homeruns in the same game and threw someone out from centerfield at first base.
6. I tried karate once with my brother and had to wear a floral spandex outfit my mother put me in. Naturally I stuck out like a sore thumb in the middle of solid white uniforms, so I was a little vulnerable. The instructor called me out in the middle of push-ups for not doing them right, and I cried and never went back. It was a traumatic experience.
7. Most importantly, I am deathly afraid of clowns. I blame it on early exposure to the circus. I was just not prepared for that type of action.
Just a side note: I secretly hope our children will look like Evan one day. He is seriously the cutest little baby boy I've ever seen, and I'm sure if we even had a girl, those blue eyes would be beautiful.
