Tattoos For David

A couple of weeks after David passed away, a few of us went to get tattoos in his memory. Evan had been throwing the idea around since David was diagnosed, because he said he always wanted to remember this experience and no matter the outcome show his love for David. We all got tattoos and though all different, were to signify David's memory. I also wanted a tattoo that would remember my Meme who passed away in 2007 at the same time, so I came up with the image of a dove, which signifies the release of a soul into Heaven.This was my second (and last!) tattoo so I knew what to expect because it was on the same place my other is. I was a little surprized though because the dove's wing creeped up a little on my ankle bone, and that was not the best feeling thing in the world! I thought it was a perfect way to remember each person who was so very special to me and every time I look at it, that's exactly what happens. I love Evan's tattoo because it is a crown of thorns with David's initials in the middle. A symbol that David is surrounded by Christ.
